Chinese herbal medicine, along with acupuncture and Bodywork, is one of the
components of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

Traditionally Chinese herbal
medicine uses natural substances derived from plants, tree branches, leaves, flowers, seeds, vegetables or minerals. These herbal preparations come in the form of medicinal teas, powders, pills, and seasonal tonics.  Some Chinese herbs, such as ginseng or ginger, could be quite common, but most of the substances might be unfamiliar to you, such as chai hu (bupleurum), di huang (rehmannia). In fact, many Western pharmaceutical drugs are originally derived from herbs that Chinese doctors have been using for thousands of years. For example, Aspirin is from the bark of the Chinese Willow tree; Digoxin, used totreat heart disease, is from Foxglove Root (di huang).

After evaluating and diagnosing a patient’s condition, a TCM doctor strategically writes an herbal formula exclusively designed to treat specific health problems in the body. Chinese herbal medicine aims primarily at restoring and maintaining balance and harmony within the body. Chinese Herbs can be used to treat a wide range of conditions such as internal disorders, GYN problems, Asthma, skin
diseases and etc.
